During its construction, skilled builders, carpenters and electricians were employed to assist in the training of the local unskilled people, so that they will have the chance to empower themselves and improve their livelihoods.
Land, time, skills, enthusiasm and energy were invested. In return Nuarro brings to its neighbours and partners greater financial security, a multi-functional community centre, agricultural projects, entrepreneurial opportunities and general social development. Based on an established memorandum, the Community’s association (ANAN) is going to receive a fee for each overnight stay and each motorised activity.

Heloisa Carneiro (Helo) is Nuarro’s "Rooms Division Manager". She is a Brazilian economist with a post graduate degree in International Trade and has 20 years' experience organizing international trade shows as well as conferences and congresses. She has also worked in many areas in the Brazilian government. Sara is the Food and Beverage Manager of Nuarro and also a Dive Master. She is a great example of enthusiasm and love for nature, people and places. Sara has always worked within the tourism industry; she brings into Nuarro not only her experience, but a permanent broad smile and the genuine willingness to make each guest feel at home, feel special and cared for. Her Italian nationality is quite clear with hands dancing in front of her body, whilst she speaks.
Cedric is Nuarro's Activities Manager. Passion and energy are two words that come easily to mind when thinking of Cedric, his French background show in his love of the charm of life and great vivaciousness for colour and taste. He talks of fish, mammals, birds and trees as if they were his brothers and sisters. There is a kind of intimacy in his stories, but they are more than just intuitive knowledge, Cedric is very often found in a corner studying nature books, when many of us would just browse through the pictures.
Lucas is our Brazilian Chef-Cook, young and full of spices and flavours. Lucas has Italian and Spanish training and brings a Mediterranean flavour to Nuarro’s tables. He is not scared of trying the local vegetables, experimenting with traditional dishes and transforming the ordinary into a delicacy. He is a musician and reflects his artistic vein in colours and shapes arranged carefully on a plate.
The national and international ground team interacts with the local community every day. They have developed a strong relationship with the local population, scouting talents, skilled labor and local materials to build Nuarro.
