Nuarro Documentary - Setember, 8, 2009.

 

 

Ushuaia Nature Documentary

 
 


At the end of November 2009 Nuarro hosted a large production from the French TF1 company called 'Ushuaia Nature'.

They are making a documentary about taking a yacht up the Mozmabican Channel and investigating the local village life.

In order to get stunning ariel shots they hired a Bell Helicopter and attached a camera to it.

This is footage of one of their filming days. Look out for the documentary in 2010.

 

Humpback Whale Calf Playing

 
 


The Humpback Whales visit Mozambique every year to nurture their new born young.

The countless bays and protected peninsula of Baixo do Pinda offer a haven to the mothers allowing their young to grow strong for the long journey south, come November.

Here is an excellent display of a young calf learning how to behave just like his daddy. Enjoy.

 

Nuarro Whale Ballet

 
 


Two male Humpback Whales were caught on video in front of the Nuarro Lodge.

We think they are dueling with each other with displays of bravado to win the heart of a female.

It's not clear on this format, but just in front of the two whales are a couple (guests of Nuarro) sat on a kayak, talk about front row seats!!
